The most controversial, beaten-horse topic in sneaker forums for nearly a decade has been centered around the lack of original ‘Nike Air’ branding on the Air Jordan (particularly the shoes ranging from Air Jordan III to Air Jordan VI), but it looks like Jordan Brand is putting that argument to a swift close with this latest development. This special release will in fact come with a nice commemorative back-story, with Jordan’s 1988 Slam Dunk Contest win possibly at focus (perhaps a February release). Is this a sign of things to come?
