This listing is for two Royal Staffordshire dinner plates in the "Stratford Stage" pattern. The decoration is a dark brown transfer of a coach drawn by four horses with half-timbered houses in the background. A beautiful floral border surrounds the scene. The plates measure 10 3/8 inches in diameter. The backstamp on each reads, "(crown) /Royal Staffordshire /Stratford Stage /Ironstone /Everlasting Colour /J&G Meakin /England." Both plates are in very good condition with wear marks on the backs (see photos). One plate has crazing on the back, center only.
